Sustainable SolutionsA way in which the government could help to prevent deforestation is by selling the land they've already burned to currently landless farmers. They could give a small, lump-sum to the government and be able to continue with their work, rather than burning the land themselves. After a certain amount of land has been sold, the destruction of the Amazon should become illegal and people should not be allowed to burn down, or log any more of the Amazon Rainforest. It is a truly wonderful site that is unique to Brazil and also helps to boost the Brazilian Economy with tourists. The Amazon Rainforest should be treated and maintained well. A mix of liquidised bed coal and turbine power plants seem to be a good, clean, available solution to this problem. |
